Ah, another high level bomber. There are only 2 things that this thing has going for it compared to the other high level bomber, the Halifax GR Mk V; Excellent Endurance and +1 ASW attack. For these two abilities, it sacrifices a 1 armor to vital and 2 bomb attacks, as well as ASW Pinpointer. Personally, if you absolutely want a high level bomber, go with the Halifax.

Something to think about: if you have a couple of fighters to accompany it, you can put the B-24 over enemy submarines on the first two turns of the game with a very low probability of any enemy fighters aborting it (thanks to Escort + Defensive Armament). This could provide a substantial advantage in winning game opening submerged-shot exchanges.

Bomb 8, Hi-Level Bomber enough said. 2/10

I like this unit because it is a cheap air option and although it doesn't have Loiter, it does have the new SA Excellent Endurance, giving it a repeat performance. It will add a little sub harassment or bomb cruisers, making it useful for the low price tag.

Despite first appearances, it does have some going for it… For one, it's very cheap.
Now, with a bomb attack of 8 dice, combined with the Hi-Level Bomber ability, it may seem too weak, but it actually does have a reasonable chance of hitting one of Japan's cruisers, all of which have an armor value of just 4; two sixes is in no way improbable. Plus, its ASW is acceptable. While it's far from the strongest plane in the USN's arsenal, at six points, it's still worth consideration.

Beautiful miniature!

one of the nicest stock paint jobs on aircraft and mostly the decals are well applied. Still haven't painted one up in RAF colours……..
