- Versatile multi-roll aircraft with slightly below average abilities with average armor and cost. Only thing it can’t do is attack submarines.
- Land based will limit its use.
- No strafing penalty. Doesn’t that mean it has, essentially, a bomb rating?

A versatile plane, but maybe a little too spendy in the end. 4 strafing dice with Expert Strafter means that you can take down a destroyer or auxillary pretty quickly and painlessly; it's one of the few planes I would actually recommend strafing with. And after that, you've got two torp dice to play with. The downside of this piece is the weak antiair (equal to the Sea Hurricane; yikes) and land-based means that you are limited to using it every other turn. For two torpedoes and four pseudo-bomb dice, maybe the Beaufighter is too costly for what it does in the end.

The Beaufighter is an unremarkable aircraft in terms of the numbers printed on the card. It's most outstanding feature is that it has so many features: it can fill in many different roles. While I never load up on this unit, I never feel bad squeezing a few into a build either. I've played many games where my fighters for lack of targets sat on the airbase doing nothing, but with the Beaufighter this problem never occurs.

9 points for a 5 armor, 8 VA patrol bomber with an attack of 2 torpedo dice, and what is essentially a bomb roll of 4. It isn't great, but it isn't too bad.
