Truculent, through three sets, remains the best Allied submarine in the game. There's nothing really special about her capabilities other than the pure power of four torpedoes at close range. These spell doom for enemy surface ships, and allow Truculent to engage U-boats on equal footing, even with the Wolfpack bonus. The only downside, and it's a minor one, is that Truculents are unavailable before 1943, a fault which is only realized in year-limited play.

Make that six sets. In a game with its share of power creep and costing issues, it's amazing that Truculent is still the best Allied sub. One tactic is to sit one on an objective, then mine the sector with a Sunderland. The Truculent becomes very difficult to kill for airborne ASW thanks to Run Silent, and any enemy wishing to grab the objective will have to survive a mine roll and a barrage of torpedoes to get it.

Terrible mini, whoever did the design/scaling should be shot.
