This is the essential American heavy cruiser. Baltimore is tough and can dish it out against almost any opponent.

overall a great ship but a little undercosted and should not have torpedo defense
NeuralDream:
Before the release of Set II, Baltimore was among the pet subjects for those complaining about the historical accuracy of the game, since she didn't deserve Torpedo Defense. She also looks extremely cheap for AA 8 and decent guns, but the lack of torpedoes make her useless against enemy battleships. Removing her Torpedo Defense without changing the cost, is a common houserule.
