Vergilius Powergaming Evaluation:
A very cheap submarine for Finland, at the 8 point mark, but with only 2-1-1 torpedoes. AT least you dont' lose any dice when suppressed at those longer ranges. The main benefit is the Sub Killer SA. Suddenly you're trading 3 dice for 3 dice, but probably trading an 8 point submarine for a more expensive one. The odds are in your favor. The unit is probably too weak to be considered a legitimate power piece, but you might slot them in as extra ASW, while still getting at least a few torpedoes out of them. Even if you get only 4 dice out of one per game, that still might be more than what you'd get out of your destroyer at the same price point. Probably suits the scenario gamers most, but other gaming types will find some use when restrictions of some type are in place. C
