Vergilius Powergaming Evaluation:
I believe I’ve seen this before somewhere. That’s right, we’ve got the George card minus a strafing die, but at 10 points instead of 11. The Soviets are now in the position of evaluating their 10 point fighter versus their 5 point fighter. Generally speaking, 2 Lend-lease hurricanes will put up slightly more aborts than a single Yak-9u, but a single Yak-9u escorting some bombers every other turn offers nice possibilities of removing an enemy fighter. I suspect most in the community know this already, as it replicates much of my fighter analysis from nearly 18 months ago. We’ve already gotten a taste of how to use a unit like this with both the USN and the IJN, and any lessons you’ve learned with those two nations now apply to the Soviets. Overall Grade: C
